Lost at Sea

Lost at Sea

A Poem by Kiara

I'm drowning in the ocean

And there is no sight of land.

Every time I gasp for air

I'm pulled back under.

I can't keep my head above water

And there are sharks that bite at me,
Pull me down,

Take away what strength I have.

They want me to die

And I can't keep surviving if they don't go away.

It's like a scene with a meaning you can understand behind it. It's compelling and descriptive, but yet a powerless and despairing scene you've shown.

Your poem conveys such an incredible feeling of hopelessness, sadness and despair. It makes me think of how I feel when it seems as though the world is conspiring against me. Very powerful!
