Nature's Firework Display

Nature's Firework Display

A Poem by Kiara

Lightning fires through the midnight sky,

A crack in a broken mirror.

The crack of thunder is the bullet shot from a gun.

The sky lights up and darkens again,

Lightning proving to be the only pleasure.

Thunder rings again,

The aftershock of an earthquake,

The boom of a distant firework.

Rain sparkles down,

Joining in on nature's firework display.

Thunder and lightning dance with the rain,

Pouring down raw emotion,

Putting on the show everyone stops to observe,

Some in fear,

Some in anger,

Some in tears,

And some in content, patient pleasure.

Never have I seen lightning compared to cracks in a broken mirror. Very original! :D
If only every night of life was worth celebrating. Wonderfully nostalgic of nights in my city.
