A Rain That Never Stops

A Rain That Never Stops

A Poem by Tayler

A rain that never stops,

Pouring upon a deserted field,

A stain that never leaves.

A battle so long,

Hatred turned to fear,

A stain that never leaves,

The wind remembers the screams of me,

Clouds gather and weep,

A rain that never stops.

Splintered spears and broken shields,

Emblems once with power, destroyed, tossed aside,

A stain that never leaves.

The grass grows red,

Trampled and crushed,

A stain that never leaves,.

The bodies of soldiers, different alive, now the same in death,

The horrors of war affect more then the hearts of the survivors.

A stain that never leaves,

A rain that never stops.
