Slipping through my fingers

Slipping through my fingers

A Poem by Tayler
"

Don't ever give up on your dreams

"

Slipping through my fingers

All around me

Life is goin nowhere

And no one's doin anything

People cry around me

Broken dreams and all hope gone

I gather all their tears

And show them that they're wrong

I take their hands and

pull them to their feet

They need to see some kindness

From anyone, even a stranger.

They've given up on everything

Their dreams seem so far gone

I want to show them that they're there

Just covered, but surely there

And so I lean in close and say,

"Anything is possible

Youre dreams are never gone

Don't let them slip through your fingers

and never let them disappear.

Because they'll always be there"

What an inspirational poem! The message you captured in this piece was one that I find to be very important. You seemed to write this piece with so much kindness and empathy, yet with a great deal of understanding. I loved the second stanza in particular. Your poem flowed really effortlessly, and ended with such grace and optimism.
This was a really powerful poem, entwined with the perfect amount of hope and strength.
Thankyou for bringing a smile to my face!
