Her Soul Cries For Help

Her Soul Cries For Help

A Poem by Tayauna Hargrove

Her soul cries for help
But no one hears
She tries to tell someone
But no one listens
She goes home
Run to the bathroom
Shuts the door
And locks it
She looks in the mirror
"You are nothing,no one loves you"
She breaks the mirror
Takes a sharp shard of glass
And thinks to herself
"Maybe now they'll listen"
She makes deep cuts
With every stroke
She says to herself
"You are nothing"
She washes the blood off her arm
Runs downstairs
Shows her mom the cuts and says
"Mom will you listen now?"
But sadly her mother only say
"I'm busy right now sweety maybe later"
No one hears this poor girl cry for help...
Until it's too late...
And she's gone
