Dive into a world yet to be discovered

"
I should feel fear, panic or sadness, But i know i'm going to be ok. The one good thing
about not having a family,is not having the worry consume you. The sickness that creeps
into your stomach at the thought of someone you love being hurt. The worst has already
Happened to me. I lost my parents nine years ago. The only person i have left to worry about
is Nate, My older brother. And Nate will never die. He'll never get sick or grow old. Neither
of us will. Up until fifteen minutes ago i hadn't known this. Up until fifteen minutes
ago, i was normal. Kind of.

"We have to leave now Ivy!"

"What the hell are you wearing?"
Nate stood about ten feet behind where i was sitting on the grass hill at the back of our house. He
had a black vest over his bare chest with black jeans, boots and finger less gloves.
My brother was handsome. White blonde hair that spilled over half of his face in a side fringe.
Blue piercing eyes and tanned skin. He was thin but he had very defined muscle. Probably from all the
fighting classes we were forced to take growing up. This whole assassination look however, wasn't really working for him.

"We have to pack." He mumbled.

'I thought that's was what you were doing." I shot to my feet almost knocking the box my mother had left
me onto the hard ground and ran all the way to my bedroom.

Jen our former carer had left nothing more than a note and a lot of cash. She had said that it wasn't
safe for us to stay here anymore and that we needed to learn the truth about who we are and where we came from.
I had asked Jen where we needed to go, and she had told me that there was a box in her draw from my birth mother Merial.
Merial Thorn, and that the box would help me figure out what to do. That was seconds before she got dragged away.

I started pulling clothes out of my draws, but it was obvious not all of them would fit into my bags.
I had to think strategically.
Three pairs of jeans, ripped jeans, trackies, skirt, high waist pants, shirt, shirt, shirt.
Ten more shirts, Undies, socks, scarf, Jacket, coat, Done!
I pulled my bags over one shoulder and ran back out into the hall where i almost collided with Nate.

"Argh!" i screamed at him.

The door slammed hard making Nate and i jump.
"Probably just the wind." Nate whispered.
"Than why are you whispering?" I hissed.

We stared at each other wide eyed as glass shattered in another part of the house.
I had wasted to much time thinking instead of acting. We were suppose to leave here as soon as Jen got taken.

Nate grabbed my arm forcing me into the stair case and down Into Nates room that was attached to our
garage. The same garage the jeep was parked in.

I opened the door as quietly as i could.
WHACK!
I spun around quicker than i had ever thought possible.
.
"Idiot" I mouthed at Nate who had literally almost smashed his surf board through the wall.
He definitely didn't bother packing strategically which made me jealous that i hadn't been a selfish packer.

I grabbed Nates bags and chucked them into the back of the jeep along with my own. Nate was to busy
tying to find space for his surfboard and skateboard.

He pulled himself up into the drivers seat which left me to open the roller door.As soon as i got it up
The jeep was reversing and i almost convinced myself that Nate was going to drive off without me.
The thought was stupid ofcorse, Nate would die for me i new it.

I heard he foot steps of big men and toned women running down the wooden stairs  stairs and sprinted for the jeep.
I dived in, or at least tried to and almost fell out but Nate pulled me in, and before i knew it we were
speeding down our long drive way and practically drifting around the corner. I could of sworn Nate was grinning.

I didn't look back once, if we were being followed, i wouldn't have known.
Apart of me wanted to cry, but the part of me , the part of me which wasn't normal, felt excitement.

"So, Where do we go now?" Nate asked.

I shrugged, how was i suppose to know.
"Lets find somewhere to sleep first." I yawned and rested my head on the back of the chair.

Nate drove two hours out of the city before we had parked into a rest area and fallen asleep. That was a quality i liked
in both Nate and i, We got through things ok.

The morning air was cruel but at least i felt alive.
I kicked Nate in the shoulder which made him mumble something along the lines of
'I will kill you'
I rolled my eyes and jumped out of the jeep landing hard on the ground. I must of landed wrong because
pain shot up my ankles.
I limped to the drivers side and opened the door. Nate was to heavy to push logically,so i pulled him instead. He landed
hard on the ground.
That was so not suppose to happen.

"IVY!" He growled.
I pout my lips and jumped into the drivers seat.
"Get Up." I say as i shut my door
"Why?"
Nate slowly got to his feet and went to the passenger side despite clearly not agreeing with me volunteering to drive. He
hated it when i drove. Actually i don't know why, it's not live I've ever crashed a car before, or constantly slammed my
foot on the break. I thought about Jen, or legal guardian and care giver. Or at least that was what she had been before
the small invasion had taken place in our home. Jen had locked Nate and i in a cupboard, handed me a box and from what
i could make out from the noises, surrendered to a bunch of strangers who apparently wanted Nate and i dead.
I grip the steering wheel tightly, i know what Jen had wanted me to do.

"We have to figure out where we need to go. Jen said there's an address in this box."
I stare at the pretty fragile box almost as white as my hair and take a deep breath.
Inside there are pictures of people i didn't recognize, except for one. It's of a man with eyes the same
lime green colour of Nates. He's standing with Mom in front of some sort of academy and they look happy. Mom
had shown me this picture many times, she told me all the time that the man in the picture was good and that i could
trust him. That if anything happened to her and i had no where to go, i needed to find him.
I place the photos down and look at the remaining contents of the box.
A set of keys with a key ring of a pale pink teddy bear, a old looking peace of paper with
An address and a Name scribbled on it and a pink wond looking stick that although was very pretty, i wasn't sure it had
any use.
Before Jen had slammed the door to the tiny cupboard and surrendered, she had told me to go to the address in the box.

"The address says Black shore. Have any idea where that is? And the name Caleb Brighton, i think that's the guy in the picture." I held the photo up to show Nate.
He shrugs his shoulders which honestly makes me want to slap him, but than he pulls his phone out of his pocket and begins typing. I hope for his sake he's not seriously about to message someone for anything other then to help me.

"Iv, Black shores about Eight hours that way." He points out into the east west.

"So, we take turns driving." I type Black shore into the GPS. I hated using the GPS, the women's voice always infuriates me,
but how we would get to Black shore without it i had no idea.

"I don't know Ivy, How do you know this is where we are suppose to go. What if Caleb, if he even exists, doesn't want
us there? What if he turns us away? Than where do we go?"
"Nate, Jen specifically said that there was an address in this box. Mom spent most of my life teaching me to trust the
guy in this picture, whose name is Caleb. And if we don't go, than what do we do?"
Nate throws his hands up.
"Fine.but If we are going to be driving for Eight hours. I'm picking the music."
I roll my eyes.

Nate plays a bunch of songs that i don't know, but hearing them for the first time actually makes is a lot more satisfying to listen to and the fact that they are actually all good songs help. Except for the one song Nate
played where the singer constantly yelled 'she f*****g hates me'.
I swap seats with Nate so that he can drive. Three hours wasn't much, but driving had always made me sleepy, And all though I'd never admit it to myself, the change in the traffic rules was making me nervous.

" food." Nate mumbles and i know he's hungry because his tummy seems to agree.
"We need Gas" I point to a servo and Nate changes lanes way to quickly.
I palm my forehead.
Nates making rude gestures with his mouth and hands at the car who had just beeped at us.
"It was necessary." Nate shrugs

"You fill up, i'll grab the food" I jump down from my seat and stretch.
Nate eyed me.
"I want like the biggest corn dog they have. Two bags of chips and a chocolate bar." Nate says very carefully
"Oh and a soda."

I was kind of happy with my outfit choice. All though it seemed the further we traveled the cooler it got.
I was wearing a white floor length skirt with white sandals and a grey singlet. My white hair was tied to one side and
it ended up being perfect for the long drive. Loose and comfortable, not to restricting.

The station looked fairly new or at least done up. It was basically a mini supermarket, but thank god Nate didn't know how much food they actually had in hear or he might of changed his his request for a corn dog and swapped it for something more complicated.
The old man serving the register eyed me suspiciously. Surely i didn't look like a thief, but the gesture made me
uncomfortable and i picked out the food And payed for the gas as quick as possible.
I grabbed his Nates favorite chips a coke, Hopefully that was enough to keep him happy for another five and a half hours.
How Nathaniel could eat like a pig but never put weight on really annoyed me,if i ate like him i'd probably put weight on, but lately i had barely been eating anything. That was something i was going to change. I grabbed a handful of chips
and munched on them.
"Hey!" Nate cries.
I roll my eyes
"So how do we know, Gay, Guy , Guss, Caylum person man dude even lives in Black shore anymore?" Nate Mumbles between
Taking bites of his burger,
"I think you mean Caleb, and we don't"
Nates mouth falls open and he stares at me wide eyed.
"We so don't know what we're doing, do we?" He mumbles
"Look, we don't have much choice now can you eat and drive or something. I don't really want to get there at night."
"It's twelve in the afternoon and we still have five or so hours. You're pushing it Ivs."
Nate started the car and hit the curb again.

Where ever we were headed was going to be beautiful, i could tell. Every town we pass seems so much better than the last. The people look happy, and  the atmosphere is inviting.
The next two hours of the trip we spent driving beside the ocean and when we stooped for dinner, we found the
coolest diner I've ever seen.

"You know we're nearly there" I pouted my lips,.. Technically three hours wasn't nearly there.

"Yeah and if cletus makes us drive back, i'll probably shave your eyebrows off when you're sleeping."
"It's Caleb, Nate. C.A.L.E.B" I growl
"Yeah i know." Nate smirks
I roll my eyes but i knew why he was doing it now.
When I close my eyes and rest and when i finally open them again, we're almost there.

"Something about this place feels familiar." I mumble
"I get that to. I kind of feel like i'm finally visiting home after years of being away." Nate frowns
"GPS says we're twenty minutes out of Black shore." I smirk
"Ivs we found Black shore, but how do we know where Callum lives ?" I literally could of killed Nate in this moment.
"CALEB, probably has his number in a local phone book. other wise i don't know, we will ask around. How big is Black shore.?"
 Nate shrugs
The city, Golden Hedges Is just before Black shore, literally five minutes out. It's instantly my favorite city, there are
people and traffic, but it's not crowed. You can see the beach between buildings and the water reflects on some of the
buildings. The thousands of fairy lights sparkle in the dark and even with all of the typical city attractions, the city
seems perfect and unpolluted.
Driving out of the city almost made me sad. In fact it had until we reached Black shore, Because five minutes later when
we reached the outskirts of the town i realized that Black shore was just as beautiful as the city. It looked clean
perfect and rich. But something about Black shore was almost intriguing to me, mysterious.

"I'm going to to ask a few people if the know a Caleb?" I yawn
Nate stares at me and i know he isn't happy.
"I just drove five hours , i'm tired and if i can't find this guy i'll be angry. If i do and he's an a*s
i'll be even crankier. In fact i think if i find him regardless i might be a little cranky." Nate pulled the car into a quiet street and turned the ignition off.
"Get some wrest Ivy."
I sigh. Nate leans the seat back, covers himself with a jacket and closes his eyes.
"We can't sleep on the side of the road again Nate." I pout my lips but Nates not listening.
Anyway there was no way i could sleep when we were this close to Caleb. But what was i going to do? I couldn't find
Caleb by sitting in a jeep all night.

I climb out of the jeep trying not to wake Nate and head to the pay phone on the corner. There is always a phone book
at a payphone.I grab the dirty looking book and search Brighton.
Theo and Grace Brighton.
Marcus Brighten
No Caleb
"Argh!" i slam the stupid phone book into the pay phone surprised the who thing didn't collapse with how old it all looked
"Are you ok?"
I spun around as quick as i could expecting some big guy with tats and no teeth. Instead i find a beautiful boy with puppy dog eyes and the sweetest chin dimples i had ever seen.
"I really need to find someone. I can't find his address Though " I talk quickly and wonder if the
poor guy understood anything i just said.
"I'm Chris, and whats his name maybe i can help?" Chris smiled.
I might of been scared of Chris if his body language suggested that he was a threat. But the boy leaned away from me
offering me space if i wanted to get away from him. His hands were tucked into his tight pockets which suggested he carried no weapons and his shoulders slouched in a way that said he really just wanted to see what i was up to.
"I'm looking for a guy name Caleb Brighton." I pulled out the photo and handed it to Chris
He laughed hysterically at the picture.
"I'm so busting Calebs balls about this pic. He full on has a mullet." Chris doubled over laughing so hard he looked
like he was in pain.

"Sooo, you know him them."
Chris shook his head and picked up a pen from beside the pay phone.

"I really want to help you, but giving you directions to Caleb is complicated. Caleb doesn't want people finding him.
Who are you?"
"My names Ivy Thorn. My mother Merial, she passed away. She ugh, never mind." I callasped against the wall of the
payphone
Chris was staring at me like i was a ghost. His jaw was almost wresting on the ground and his face looked pale. After
an awkward minute Chris finally got himself together. I gave him my 'what is wrong with you' look.
" I argh.. I. Look you seem, harmless so i'll give you Calebs address. But understand something, you cannot give
this to anyone. In fact do not tell anyone where you are going or who you are looking for. understand me."
" What why?"
Chris shakes his head
"Why are you acting weird for ?" I glare at Chris. Maybe he really is some creepy stalker.
"I knew your mother." Chis wrote on a page he had ripped out of the phone book and handed it to me. I was to stunned
to speak and Chris had left before i figured out how to use my mouth.
How could a boy, probably around the age of nineteen, know my mom. He had to be mistaken
I looked at the page he gave me.
"Directions." I whisper to myself before walking back to the jeep.
Caleb would have to wait. I could sleep now that i knew where to find Caleb. Surely he'd still be there tomorrow.

Nate woke me up with a cup of coffee. I could have hugged him because after last night i could really use the caffeine.
"I argh, I know where to find Caleb." I mumbled still half asleep
"ok. How are we going to find Caleb"
"I just..  I met a guy briefly this morning, he gave me an address." Lying to Nate wasn't very
appealing but neither was explaining to him that i had snuck out in the dark by myself last night and spoke to
a guy i had never met before who claims to have known my mother even though he couldn't possibly have been old enough
to have ever gotten a chance to meet Merial.
No way.
Nate glared at me and i could see him thinking. This morning i had only been left alone for a matter of ten minutes.

"Ivy.." Nate swallowed and i sighed.
"Ok fine. I snuck out last night in the dark, by myself, was bombarded by a stranger and he gave me the address. Thats
the worst version of what happened. but really, he was a good guy." I looked at my feet.
Nate pushed himself up from the chair he'd been sitting on to eat breakfast and slammed his hands on the table.

"I'm older, i make the rules Ivy. I've lost everything, everyone and if i loose you, i have nothing. So thank you for
getting the address, but if we're not a team you tell me right now."
The hurt in Nates eyes burned my heart. That was the problem with Nate, whenever he was hurt, or upset even angry
he could make anyone feel his pain. I hung my head.
Nate walked outside and jumped in the jeep. Maybe i should of lied, but that was another thing about Nate, I never could
lie to him. I knew it. So i don't know why i tried.

I jumped up into the passenger seat.
"I'm sorry." I whisper.
Nate sighs.
"We shouldn't rush into this. Lets just find the place and suss it out before we confront Brighton. This whole thing seems a little to easy" Nate says.
"Brighton?" I roll my eyes. What was so hard that Nate couldn't remember Calebs given name but he could remember a sir
name such as Brighton.

The address Chris had given us led us away from other houses and out near the beach. The building we faced was cut off by big  black gates. It was the same Gothic building that my mom stood in front of with Caleb in the picture.
A tear slowly snuck down my cheek.
I felt like i maybe being here could help me understand my mothers past. How she grew up, who she use to be, even who my
biological dad might be.

I wipe the tear away before Nate sees it and hand him the picture.
"This is it." I whisper
"Yeah, so how do we get inside?"
"We can't just 'get in side' " I roll my eyes
"Why not?" Nate jumps out of the jeep
We had parked  further down the street so the we were hidden among the trees. I really didn't know why we were
being so sneaky about coming here. Maybe because the whole place was secured by a big fence and we aren't sure if we
would be let in if we asked.
"How do we get over the gate?" Nate snorts
"We climb" I roll my eyes. Was that not obvious to him?
He doesn't think i could get over but I'll show him what a Female Thorn can do.
I rung along the gate to where the vines had tangled there way through. This will give my grip.
And it did for about two meters above the ground, and than everything higher was slippery. Nate was trying his own
technique fifty meters to my right. He hadn't climbed as high as i had. I grinned
All i had to do was jump. If i jumped high enough i could grab the top of the gate and pull myself up, if i missed, i'd probably concuss myself. I weighed my options carefully before seeing how Nate was doing. He was almost over, crap. I
had to push myself up. I bent my knee and forced myself high into the air grabbing the top of the gate. My problem
now was that i may or may not have enough upper arm strength to pull myself the rest of the way. Nope no upper arm strength, i had to be strategic. I started leaning my body to the left so that i could walk my feet to the top of the Gate. Now i was holding onto the gate three meters above the ground like a monkey would to a tree branch.
Nate was stuck to. I took a deep breath, the next step would be hard but i knew what i had to do. I pulled my body up and literally swung myself over the other side of the fence. I hit the ground hard and at the exact same time Nate did.
Wow, that would of looked pathetic if anyone had of been watching. Two people flying through the air at the exact same time and crashing hopelessly into the ground.

"Ow." I mumble
"Cra" Nate yells.
That fall had really hurt. But from what i could tell no bones were broken.
I stumble to my hands and knees and turn to face Nate who is wobbling on his feet.
I could see the competition in his eyes even from here. I was the skilled Thorn and i'd prove it.
I ran fifty meters and dived behind a tree. It would of been a perfect dive if Nate hadn't dived behind the same
tree and collided with me.
"IVY." Nate moaned
"Ow...ow....ow"
we sat facing each other.
"What now?" i Whispered angrily
"Why don't we just go knock on the door?" Nate shurgs
"OK." I stand up
and we casually emerge from behind the tree and walk towards the Gothic building.
"I think you broke my jaw."
"I think you broke my nose ." I rub my nose and pout a little.
"You know you're bleeding."
"What where."  I yell. Blood wasn't something i felt like dealing with today. Any day for that matter.
I had no problems with looking at it, in fact cuts and wounds never unsettled my stomach but something about the
smell of blood always made me want to vomit. That metallic vile smell.
Nate laughed
"Whose the baby now."
I glare at Nate for a minute before realizing we had reached the door.
"Do we knock."
"I don't know Nate. I mean it's a door right?" I roll my eyes
Nate takes a deep breath and steps towards the door.
He slowly raises a fist and before he can knock the door swings open.

"Dude, were you just about to knock?" A guy about my age stands at the door. He's Irish by the sounds of it and his hair
is orange. He was strangely attractive, and i could tell immediately that he knew it to.

"Yes.why? Is this door fragile or something" Nate rolled his eyes.
The boy frowned
"The building is the size of the friggen Queens palace and you're expecting someone inside to hear a knock." The boy
laughs but stops when he sees Nate glaring at him.
"I'm glad you find that so amusing." Nate mumbles

"Is Caleb here or not." Nate says after a full minute of silence.
"Caleb?" The boy stands up straighter
"Ofcorse his here this is his Academy. " The boy raises his arms in the air as if to frame the building.

"Why are we talking to you than and not him? After all this is his place right?" Nate takes a step towards door.
"Wow dude look, You can, but, Just between you and me... and you." The boy winks at me
"He's not really in the mood lately for taking in any more strays." The boy shrugs
"Who are you two anyways?" The boy adds after a minutes thought.

"I'm Nate. This is Ivy. Nate and Ivy Thorn?"
The orange headed boys mouth falls open and his eyes almost double there already unnaturally large size.
He clears his throat.
"I ah.. come in. I'll show you to Caleb ." The boy steps back to allow Nate and i to enter the elaborate building.
I glance at Nate. Academy? I frown.

I step inside the Gothic building. The large ridiculously clean building.  The moment i enter the building a sense of
well being floods through my body. This is where we are suppose to be.
The orange haired boy who i've decided to call Oro leads us to a compelling set of black doors. The are the biggest
doors i have ever seen. How anyone could push these open i had no idea. They were tantalizing and intriguing. The patterns
on the like none i have ever seen before. They also frightened me a little. Oro hesitated at the door a little before
knocking on it hard. Knocking on  doors like these would have to hurt your hand. Nate mumbles impatiently. He
like getting straight to the point.
I look to my left at the strange set of stairs. The floors are all white marble and the stairs are wide and inviting. I
fight the erge to follow them up to the next floor.

The black doors open and Oro ushers us in. No one had opened them, they must be automatic.
This room is full of books. Books and desks and a glass table. Theres a room off to the right of me and from what i can see it looks like it may be a bedroom. I wonder if Caleb sleeps here.
A Young man with sandy blonde hair emerges from behind a book shelf. He approaches us confidently, his eyes big though suggesting that hes a little startled. My mouth drops. Not because he is nothing as i expected he'd be, But because he looks so much like Nate it's not funny. Or Nate looks so much like him. I know instantaneously that this is Caleb. But who is Caleb. I turn to look at Nate, his eyes are wide and his fidgeting with a key ring. He's realised the same thing.

"Welcome." Calebs voice comes out smoothly. One hundred percent in control.
"This is Ivy Thorn and Nate Thorn." I turn to see oro leaning against a book shelf casually.
" Nathaniel." Caleb Mumbles.
I look at Calebs face for answers. How does he know Nates name isn't just Nate or Nathan.
"How can i help you?" Caleb walks towards a pear shaped glass table in the center of the room and ushers for us to follow.
"Please sit?" He smiles vaguely but Nate brushes him off and continues to browse the room as if we're boring him. But i know he's just trying to avoid talking to Caleb.
Caleb waits patiently for me to begin.

"I argh. I don't know if you know who we are, but my mother, Merial Greyson. She told us to find you if we had no where else to go."
I feel my body tremble a little and my eyes refuse to meet Calebs.

"And where is Merial now?" Calebs voice is a litte different this time he speaks. I just can't pinpoint what it is.

"I don't really remember. But she was taken. One night she was captured and killed." I feel the tears in my eyes. There
never to far away. Always waiting for a chance to spill down my face. But i never let them and so the don't.
I look up at Caleb and i could swear there was pain there too. He knows who i'm talking about.
Caleb coughs a little.

"And do you know what you are ?" Caleb stares at me hard not breaking even to blink.

"I.. I know i'm not a normal teenage girl." I'm almost whispering.

Caleb leans back in his seat and runs a hand through his hair. He doesn't look a day past twenty six but he had to be older than that if he knew my mom.
"This is an Pikor Academy. You and your brother, myself. We're Pikor." Calebs leans over the table close to me as if by
doing this he will be more convincing. I shake my head a little, I'd heard the word Pikor a thousand times and if i could remember properly,i'd swear that my mother had told me storys about Pikor as a child. But right now i had no idea what the word Pikor meant. Something behind me slammed and i almost shot straight out of the chair.
"Nate!" I growled.
He was wearing a guilty smiling and trying to ignore the fact that he had dropped one of Calebs books. Nate shrugged a little, i knew he was hearing everything Caleb was sharing with me. He needed to know this as much as i did.

"I'm sorry. I just.. I'm trying to understand but i'm not sure what a Pikor is." I sigh .
"A Pikor is what is created when five particular mythical creatures pass through one family blood line. We are those of love, honor and peace. We also hold an enormous amount of strength which is somehow being suppressed in you." Calebs sighs.
"How do you know i really am Pikor?"
"Your eyes, your hair. Your skin and the way you talk. The energy i feel. It's different to his." Caleb points to Nate whose helped him self to a muffin. I roll my eyes. Caleb seems a little surprised. Probably because he expected Nate to be startled or suspicious or anything other than uninterested.
I cough in attempt to gain Calebs attention again, and if i'm not mistaken i could of sworn Caleb was slightly amused by Nates rudeness.
"For a Pikor to be born, You must need relatives of which are pure werewolf, witch, vampire, hunter and a messenger. When the first Pikor is born to a blood line, it can breed Pikor if both parents are pure Pikor." Caleb shifts a little in his seat.
thats
"We are immortal. We are magic. We are strength. We are skill and we are brains. We are so perfectly and equally
created. This place was created to keep us safe, hidden and free to live with no mask. We're the most wanted creatures on the universe and  why i'm offering a place for you and your brother here. However, if you live under this roof, than you attend classes."
Nates lets out a small moan in protest. I kick him underneath the table, if Caleb is serious than i don't want Nate ruining our chances.
"Anything else i should know before i accept?" Nate mumbles with a roll of his eyes.
"Classes run for an excruciating period of time on Mondays and Tuesdays and you will be expected to wear a Uniform. Wednesday to Friday you will have to train physically. Saturdays and Sundays are yours to do as you wish as long as you
run any absurd ideas past me like leaving the Academy. Oro can show you to your rooms." Calebs stands and makes his way to
the small room off to the side. Oro's somehow in the room once again wearing his cheesy smile i so badly want to smack off his face.

Nate Looks at me as if to say "what the hell do we do now" and shrugs carelessly. I make my way back through the big black doors and wait for Oro to show me to my 'room'.
Maybe it would be insane not to feel weird right now. Not to be questioning everything Caleb had just told me. But emotionally i'm tired. I'm so tired,And not because i hadn't had proper sleep. I'm tired of living my life out of boxes and constantly running. I'm tired of being confused and excepting the weird things in my life that everyone refuses to tell me. I'm sick of not staying in a town long enough to know my way around it. Or live in a room long enough to bother fully unpacking. But here at the academy, Something told me i'd be here for a while. I had things i needed to learn. My moms way of living cost me time.

"The building has three wings. This is head quarters where all our superiors stay. There are two side buildings which are both three stories high. Nate can stay in the left wing and the second floor. There's a room vacant there next to mine. And Ivy, you can stay in the back building on the third floor. It will be near Blairs room. You two will get along fine." Oro shrugs and i nod. I really don't mind which building i stay in.

Oro leads me to my room first. The journey there is going to reward me with very toned legs after a week or two. There are no elevators only stairs.

"Training quarters are behind the back building and that's where we keep our food by the way."
Oro leads me to a pale blue door on the third floor just like he said. He opens it as if it's his room.
"Keys here so make sure you lock up, Even some pikor can be untrustworthy" Or chucks me a long silver key on a black rope which i pull over my head. If i keep it around my neck i wont loose it.
"I'll get someone to bring you some clothes in a bit, but try to get some sleep. There is a bathroom through there. They;re small but it's better than sharing." I walk into my new room and spin around slowly taking in the colours. There is a huge queen size bed in the middle of the room with a pale blue quilt over it. I instantly fall in love with it. Pale blue was my favorite colour. It went with my white hair perfectly. There was a small balcony and pale blue curtains which i loved as well. Apart from the bed, there was no furniture.

Oro Take Nate to his new room, and i sprawl out on the bed. I'd love to take a shower but right now i just can't manage to get up from this bed.

My eyes open slowly immediately forcing on a strong headache. I press my hand to the side of my head. I swear i could hear knocking. I slowly sit up. There it was again the soft thud on my door. I moan a little not ready to stand on my feet. But i manage it anyway. I slowly waddle over to the door and pull it open a fraction.

I was expecting One of three people. Nate or Oro, possibly even Caleb but not the boy who was at my door at this present time. He had beautiful tanned skin and long hair as white as mine. He looked like a complete beach bum but he was wearing A uniform. A medium blue shirt with a black tie and dark blue shorts.

"Hey."  The boy said.
"Hi." I mumble nervously.
"I'm Roag. Caleb told me to bring these for you." The boy lent his body against one side of the door frame. He was
confident and amused. No wonder i probably had crazy bed hair but i really didn't care. I do nothing but stare at the boy.
He forces a pile of clothes into my hands and steps back once again turning as if he's about to leave.

"Your uniforms in their. One for training and one for classes. You get the week off though " He smiles at me one last time and walks away leaving me
there speechless.

I turn back to my room and walk cautiously to my bed, dropping the pile of clothes to study. I held up what would be my uniform. It's a light blue shirt with a navy blue skirt, white long socks and a navy blue jacket. It really didn't look that bad. I had two shirts, and another skirt. I walk towards the cupboard for the first time and hang my uniform on the rack. I hadn't even seen my bathroom yet which i planned to break in as soon as these clothes were packed. The next uniform, at least i assumed that's what it was, was on another rack. There was a variety of choices for shirts. Very interesting work out gear. I unzipped the plastic and lifted the first shirt. A black t shirt with a cross bow on the back. There are three pairs of tight black short shorts. They are all made of thick material and have straps attached to them. The last two items is a singlet and a sports shirt which ends at your midriff and also has straps on it. I hang them carefully in my cupboard. I sorted through the next plastic slit. It contained skirts, jeans and two dresses. They were quite pretty. The last plastic slit contained t shirts. I pulled out a dark brown crop shirt that had straps hanging off the bottom. I put it on because i knew the colour went perfectly with my hair. The tightness of this material made me feel strong and superior.I pulled on some black jeans and my boots. I had looked out at my balcony before and could see pitch blackness, it was midnight and this was the perfect chance for me to snoop around a bit. I wasn't really looking for answers, just seizing the place up.

I could open my door and sneak through the building but it's to obvious and risky. I walk to my balcony and study it carefully. I'm on the highest floor, but if i can find a way up and down from here it'd be a perfect way to avoid questions. My balcony gives a perfect view of the back building Oro has said was the training quarters, that's where i wanted to go first. I walked to the right of the balcony observing a thick solid pole leading right to the ground. This was my exit all i had to do was slide down, but how do i get up again. I decided that i'd figure it out when i got back.
I left my windows open to remind me  which balcony was mine and flung my body around the pole. The motion was quick and smoothed and pretty friggen talented. It's hard to control the speed of which you slide down, your body either falls to quickly or barely, but the jeans i'm wearing help. I land harshly on the ground with a thump. I did well i think.

I run towards the back building. If i was completely honest, i was terrified of the dark. I ran a good distance from my room, i had miss read the distance between the buildings. When i reach the back building my breath is gone and not because i had just ran my heart out.
This building was scarier than the first one. It was blacker and harder looking and a lot bigger up close. I wasn't sure how i was going to get inside but i knew i couldn't go back with nothing. The doors remind me of the big blacks ones in the head quarters, but they are somehow larger. They don't budge when i push them. I take a step back trying to observe the building as a whole. My guardian had done this often. Around the second floor was an opened window i could easily fit through but getting there would be an effort. I could climb some of the way but about three quarters of the way up i'd get stuck, unless i through my body enough to catch the edge of the window.

I started to climb knowing that i probably wouldn't be brave enough to attempt such a risky and stupid thing but when i reached the point where i could no longer climb i surprised myself and through my body into the air, free to fall as it pleases. I only just manage to grab the edge of the window and it hurts my hands but now it's a matter of life or death. Ok well that's a bit dramatic but i'd definitely break my legs. I start to pull myself up knowing that my upper strength isn't the best and it uses every last ounce of strength i have. When i'm half way in i open my eyes. Not what i was expecting at all. I wobbled a little and my body flips itself off the window sending me straight into the floor face first.
I stand up quickly in case someone had heard me. This was a small room and all though it was dark i had excellent night
vision. One wall was made completely of mirror and the opposing wall was black. There were numerous things in the roof i had no idea what were, and the bottom of the floor was padded. I learnt this when my know hit the ground but never broke.
I walked casually to the door and stepped through into a dark and long hall way. There were doors everywhere. The middle of the whole second floor was one giant room which seemed to be some sort of obstacle course slash arena. Than there were small rooms scattered around the edge of the second floor all containing things like obstacle courses. I'd be lying if i said this didn't make me excited. I really wanted to try this. It would be a challenge i can tell just by a single glimpse that they are made to be excruciating and not for entertainment.

Once I've made my way around the entire second floor i follow a set of black stairs down to the bottom.
