The Fear

The Fear

A Poem by Michelle Grayson
"

Dark imagination

"
The ghosts of shadows are best left alone
For those who try and touch become stone
Screams are muffled
and dreams get ruffled
More fear than you would wish

The spirits of beasts are best when at a run
For those who try and fight will wish they were a nun
Shouts run out of air
Eye's lay open and stare
More fear than you would want

The memories of man are best left buried
For those who pry shall become stiff and carried
Heavy is that corpse
Brown is that coffin
No more fear, for now you're dead

A rather fatal ending; but the content is certainly unique. The trials of hope, despair and giving up.

Nice work.

I like the story in your poem. You said a lot in a few words. Which is very good. You could expand and create a very good story. A excellent poem.
