Thought of Dark

I am average

with eyes of love

a heart of hope

cherished by God

 

 

I bear a pain,

Hopelessness

I never shed a tear

I'm a bottle filled with sorrow

 

 

A dark desire awaits my heart

It taunts me through my mind

Death is what I wanted

 

 

I wanted a lick of darkness

I would love to feel the sorrow

But when I look in a mirror

 

 

I didn't need darkness

It was only my desire

What was that thought?

 

 

I need love

It's all I want

It's what I cherished the most.

 

 

Author's Note

This poem saved my life. These past few days I thought about attempting suicide. Until, this poem came to me, so I decided to write my feelings out. Please tell me what you think. =)

nycly written. Death is not the solution. the solution lies in what is depicted in last sentence. after you die you will regret for missing things. a friend of mine tried to jump 2 floors for caught cheating in boards a year but now he is ago jovial enjoying. when asked,"oh that was a foolish thing, a kids mistake." everyone wants to die but afterlife is much more painful than life. Fight and a day will come when you will look it over as a fools errand.

Very well written, although, I find it sad to hear that you were close to attempting suicide. Death is never an option, no matter how hurt, or upset you may feel. You will always find a reason for living. I have someone I care about who has thought of giving up and just letting death take him, but there are people like me to him, who have kept him going, and as long as we don't give up on him, and ourselves, he won't give up either. You shouldn't give up on your life.

The hopelessness and desperation can be felt through your words. What i liked most about this is that the piece started out portraying a grim picture but in the end it showed hope.

We live in hope. We live for love. What if love isn't there , from where we want, but somewhere, its in abundance for us.

I can still remember the day when I was hospitalized and was in coma for 2 days when I had attempted to kill myself. It is a bad thing , I have realized it now and since that day till today never again did I tried suicide. I faced the bad times and everyday I am facing with a brave effort. I hope for good times and hope you get to see your good times too!
