Food War

Food War

A Poem by Tavar
"

I... just... yea...

"
Have you heard of the great food war?
That left hundreds forever lamed?

I will forever remember this glorious day
Standing atop the walls waving the flags

Noodles and meatballs soaring in the air
Singing a melody of majesty and death

A war over hunger from the many
Irony is the cause of the greatest death

Carrots fired from the rifle squads
The swordsman with their sausage sticks

I made it to the great city center
I took their flag in my hands

Yes, I remember the great food war
I remember the day that it made me a man
