You, I & The Moon

Lay with me under the moonlight
While we heal one another's scars
We can count each flaw and blemish
As we do so with the stars

I'll kiss you tenderly, hold you close
Until daylight shines through
Then do it all again next moon
For it's what I'm meant to do

The void right now as vast as space
But you are like my moon
I look at you and feel comfort
The void will be filled soon

The goddess Venus guides my heart
To the place that is with you
Others may think that I'm a fool
But that's truly nothing new

Some people say the earth will cease
Some say later, some say soon
