I am a Potato

I am a Potato

A Poem by Tator Of Suburbia
"

Yeah off the top of my head for a contest...

"

I am a Potato.

Not quite literally, but I am.

I live in the suburbs like normal people and eat fried things like french fries.

I am no cannible, I am just a potato.

I am brown on the outside and White on the inside,

So therefore I am a Potato.

Minus the startch.

I realize this isn't funny,

and it has no rhyme,

but how many poems have you read that were written about a potato?

.. lol wow.. simply cleverly devised because your words speak metaphorically in this regards
to be liken to a potato..homegrown.. living in suburb.. all american.. as fries, even if they
say there are french they are still made in america.. like the potato..although in its raw form
it serves not much of a purpose.. but refine it.. mash it.. cut it.. fry it.. it has a soul purpose
and will one day leave the suburban home of safety and it will adventure into a bigger plan
.. mius the starch.. i love free verse.. my favorite form. hope you post more poems soon

Not many, but I would like to create a few. I think this is a nice poem, with deep messages about your up bringing, or potato farm.
