A Collective MessA Poem by Tate VivianoA funny idea that poped in my head one day.A collective of artists are struggling Monetarily and creatively A writer A poet A musician And finally a painter The writer tries to hard to write like his favorite author The poet can’t find a word that rhymes with silver The musician keeps breaking his strings The painter can’t put onto canvass what is inside her dreams So one day the writer picks up a guitar He hits the strings And out a melody rings And he decides never to pick up a pen again The poet picked up a paintbrush and She paints out the poem She had been trying to hone And moves to the art lands of France The musician in question Gave up his intention Of ever singing in a great music hall But out of his head A novel poured out like led It shook all of the masses And at last the sweet painter With her head so tender Poured out the most beautiful poem never read So this story I’ve told May seem a bit cold But sometimes we fail at our first try But never give up on art © 2017 Tate VivianoReviews
