The Unwanted Houseguest

The Unwanted Houseguest

A Poem by Tazz S.H.
"

Inspired by the Unwanted Houseguest meme. Google it on images ;)

"
Rain is thunderin’, roarin’
on mah rooftops,
Bolts of lightnin’ flashin’
‘cross the sky.
Ah’m in mah bed, clutchin’
the sheets close to me,
For fear.
For fear that I’ll
see what I don’t want"
In the dark.
I’ve locked all
The windows and doors,
All the gates…but somehow they’re there.
Watching me.
Two orbs of fiery evil, gleaming
 In the inky space.
Sunken eyes, burning holes, gazing
At me.
Those hollow bones,
That tainted hood
He wears.
His yellow, cracked teeth,
Grinning hungrily at me.
Peeking at me from
The foot
Of my bed.
He rasps, amused,
“You locked all the windows,
And doors?
Now,
We’re BOTH
Locked in for the night!”
And he latches
onto my
ankle
With his
long,
Spiny
Fingers.
