Lost GirlA Story by Tazz S.H.Short narrative about a lost girl
They had taunted her from the minute she walked into school.
From the time they saw the girl, they knew something was strange about her. it was like an animal instinct that told them she wasn't like them. They, the kids, would watch her as she quietly took out her books for class and start to work. When spoken to, she'd reply humorously. That was the thing that had surprised everyone. But even though she was friendly to everyone, they still disliked her. Boys sneered at her, huffed in exasperation when she came near, girls would eye her, look her up and down, give her attitude. But it wasn't as if the whole class hated her. She had her friends. She loved being with them. But soon the taunts were getting to her. The words had repeated themselves in her mind, endless echoes that droned on and and on. She wanted to look to her friends for support, but she began to lose faith in them. Would they be able to confide in her as she did them? The girl reached a conclusion; she was alone. And no one, not anyone could ever change her mind. No one could pull her out of the dark.
