SPECIAL LITTLE DADDY

SPECIAL LITTLE DADDY

A Story by Tasi83

Compared to April, it was surprisingly sunny, almost cheerful summer heat, when a man with a teddy bear decided to take a taxi and take himself to the hospital, because his beloved, exotic girlfriend was in her ninth month, and of course her amniotic fluid had flowed.
He was so frustrated, agitated, and nervous that he almost didn't know what the taxi driver in question was asking him. He looked like a disfigured man, and his right eye was made of glass, as it turned out later. a passing siheder guy unexpectedly pulled a knife, and although he first tried to get him to see better, later to take it down in the name of self-defense, the young guy casually and simply gouged out the right eye of the taxi driver, and by the time he got to the emergency department, it could practically be announced that he was blind in one eye.
"Sir!" Dear Sir? Did you ask for a ride?! - asked the man wearing a warm jacket and sweater, who was clutching a medium-sized thermos in his left hand, in which - it turned out later - was steaming a delicious, appetizing broth, which he had cooked himself, because he had heard from his mother that expectant mothers were strictly forbidden to eat any kind of food. while giving birth. He thought that his lover just likes broth, and because of hormonal fluctuations, he just won't die on the spot.
"Yes!" Good day! he greeted. "Could you please take me to the children's ward of the Honvéd Hospital?" - she looked at him with desperate fear, rolling her greenish-brown eyes, as if she were very afraid of the approaching future, or the consequences.
"Of course, Dear Sir!" Get in! - opened the mother-in-law seat of the canary yellow Ford Focus car.
- Thank you very much! " he immediately jumped in, pulled his large feet in, and then fastened his seat belt, because the evening news has been showing something new with almost enough regularity, no horroristic horrors.
"Then the children's department of the Honvéd Hospital?" " the glassy-eyed taxi driver Marcona asked back, not at all friendly.
" Yes, as long as it can be solved and does not cause problems! - answered the man, still nervous and prepared for the worst.
The taxi driver immediately turned on the small digital red meter on the dashboard of the car, which started counting the moment the car started.
"First child my dear sir?" - asked the taxi driver a little confidingly, breaking the awkward silence after a while.
"At least I know..." he replied with a trembling voice.
,,Anyway! Who has anything to do with her having a child?! And anyway? Why on earth do you have to beat anything to a big drum?!“ " he could never understand this, much less accept it.
"Are you nervous?" he asked again after a short pause. The problem with weekdays was that - in general - you had to expect traffic jams or smaller or larger traffic jams. Here! But if one knew the city like the back of his hand, then nothing was more natural than that with the help of a suitable guide, one could easily reach the desired destination even from the farthest points of the city in twenty minutes.
"Well... if possible, I'm terribly worried that nothing bad happens!" - he confessed to this wild stranger, who looked at him almost awkwardly and suspiciously.
"Don't get excited, Dear Sir!" There will be no problem here! Later, there will be the many diapers and baby food in Rahedl, which add up to a fortune, and other expenses. Well, that will really cause a minor headache! he remarked, flashing his teeth.
"Well… thanks for bringing it to my attention…"
"Was the baby planned, or did it just… slip in…?"
The man was clearly quite surprised by the way the question was presented, so he began to ponder the possible answers for a long time.
- Well, the truth is that having children has been hanging in the air for some time, because women usually have that certain biological clock ticking earlier, and so on... But overall, we really wanted to.
"There is nothing better than when you become a parent for the first time!" You know, I was of the opinion that it is somewhat easier for mothers, since they already have nine months to bond with the baby and get a taste of the world of parenthood, while, unlike fathers, this only develops much later or not at all. - he began to explain his own views in detail.
The nervous man tried to be exceptionally abstract now and instead stared out the window. They raced through the already busy Rákóczi út at lightning speed, so that they could turn onto Dózsa György út with a hussar cut.
" ...I think the bigger a family is, the better, because it is always necessary and good for a person to count on the support of their loved ones.
"There could be something in this too!" he thought as he stared out the window. The truth was, of course, that he could almost never really feel like a member of his own family in his family, since being the only one, he had a lot of small and large obligations, and he often felt that he was unable to live up to the expectations and ideals of personality that his father, in particular, tended to impose on him just for that reason.
They turned onto Podmaniczky Street, where two squealing ambulances pulled out at the same time.
"Their good f*****g mother!" Look man! I want to enter too! - cursed the taxi driver, exasperated. "You see, my dear Lord!" Frontal accidents happen because of such small trivial mistakes! A person often does not even know where his head is! " took a sharp turn when trying to park the car at one of the paid parking lots.
"Even this!" Troubles come in droves, dear Lord! If I find that a*s-headed idiot who made parking pay in all of Pest that year, I swear he will learn the true value of money! - he got angry one more time, and finally successfully parked his taxi. The small measuring device signaled with a beeping sound that they had arrived at their destination and calculated exactly how much the tariff was.
Twelve kilometers were shown on the small measuring instrument, and accordingly, including the hourly wage of four hundred forints, he should have paid six thousand six hundred and forty-nine forints to the dead-tempered man, who will soon become a real father, but instead to the taxi driver - who knows why? - as if he had taken pity and was only willing to accept two thousand forints.
"Trust me, Dear Sir!" You will see that if the child can always count on the old man, it will pay off later! The other important thing that either you or your partner should pay attention to is that you should never embarrass him in public, because then trust will definitely increase, which is the basis of all relationships! - he gave one last free piece of advice.
The man tried to get out quickly before the friendly, benevolent taxi had even cleared the waiting time, but nothing of the sort happened. They shook hands, then the taxi driver cut into the traffic with screeching wheels and immediately disappeared from the man's sight.
The man rushed through the main entrance of the hospital with urgent steps and galloped straight to the reception to find out from the responsible receptionist where his partner had been taken.
The thermos hot soup luckily made it through the trip. How happy his exotic girlfriend will be now that she can finally eat at least a few bites.
"Hello, how can I help you, dear sir?" asked the nurse on duty with a kind smile.
- I kiss his hand! I would like to know which ward Vadasz Babet is in?
"Is he a relative or relative?"
"I'm your match!" - he answered out of breath, as if even this single sentence had cost him a great deal of effort.
"Please be patient for a moment!" " the nurse already started pressing the computer keyboard, and within moments the requested information appeared on the flashing monitor.
"Yes!" I see they just took him to the operating room! She will give birth! he answered. Do you know where the operating room is? he asked back.
"Well…not really…" he admitted honestly.
"No problem dear Sir!" - the nurse now beckoned to another young nurse: - Gaby! The gentleman is looking for obstetrics! Please show him where to find it! he asked.
"Of course dear!" Nothing is more natural than that! - he answered, then turned to the rather nervous man: - Follow me, dear sir, if I may ask!
With that, they started a bit of a dog run, after all, every minute is precious and priceless for the person being taken to the maternity ward.
In less than ten minutes, they were already at a huge glass wall, where dozing newborns slept their sweet dreams. The man was immediately moved and would have liked to shed a few big crocodile tears right away, but he vowed that he would only cry when they put their baby in his arms.
"Here you enter the corridor, dear Sir, and at the end of the corridor are the wards!" If I see correctly, the penultimate room will be the right one! he looked at the sick carton again.
"Thank you very much..." he replied to the nurse who left in a hurry, who responded to the simple effort with a kind smile.
Hesitantly, with his head lowered, he first knocked three times, and then when someone called out loudly that he was free, he cautiously entered.
In the hospital room, he found five young ladies at the same time, all of whom were pregnant at the same time or had just given birth. Now they surrounded the strange man with the thermos of hot broth in his hand with curiosity and interest.
The man discovered his partner almost immediately, who had recently been brought out of the operating room, because he was still groggy from the side effects of the drugs he had received, and was apparently sleeping sweetly. As it turned out later, she was also able to rest, because she managed to give birth to a healthy baby girl weighing more than three kilos.
The man carefully grabbed a snow-white plastic chair and quietly took a seat. As soon as he began to look at and then stare at his sleeping, suffocating girlfriend, slowly and gradually his fear and dread subsided, and what seemed to be a permanent incoming uncertainty. Many times he actually didn't even want to believe that such a sleazy, snotty, cowardly figure, as the world liked to set him up, could find the happiness he deserved by the side of such a fantastic woman, special in every way.
Even so, it took more than half an hour before her friend carefully opened her eyes:
- Hello Darling! What's up? How are you? she asked him, even though he was actually curious about how she was doing as a new mother.
"Great!" You did fantastic my love!
"So what happened?" So I mean is it a boy or a girl?! - he excitedly alternated his questions.
"A phenomenal, dreamy little lady!" She is just as exotic and mischievous as her mother! - he carefully caressed her face. "Are you hungry?"
"That's all it looks like!" I haven't been allowed to eat anything since dawn, and now I could eat an ox!
The man carefully lifted the thermos from the ground.
"I brought some broth." with a lot of snail pasta and carrots, which you love so much!
"Oh honey!" You don't know it, but you saved my life! " her beautiful brown eyes really sparkled with greed. He would have liked to have been looking forward to finally tasting the delicious, good-tasting broth, because his eyes had been pounding since dawn.
The man carefully took out a clean napkin and placed it on his partner's snow-white bedclothes with tender love as if it were just a party dish, so as not to cause any discomfort, then he carefully opened the medium-sized food barrel, from which mouth-watering aromas steamed. She also took out a tablespoon and started spooning the soup into her friend's mouth as if feeding a small child. At times he asked what to give: pasta or vegetables?
Later, late in the morning, the baby was brought in, and the man regularly fought back tears of happy emotion. After all, why should one be ashamed at such an exceptionally festive moment?
They still haven't really agreed on what they will call the little princess, who hasn't seen her yet, but it's as if she already felt that she would be in excellent, loving care throughout her life.
