Inspiration

Staring at a blank page, longing, missing

The never ending string of words flying across the page

Filling it with thoughts, my thoughts, my deepest and sometimes darkest thoughts.

How I long for that tingling sensation that courses through my body as that metaphorical light bulb goes off.

Finally! Oh how long I have waited for this!

For days i've stared at a blank page... at an incomplete thought doomed to remain incomplete so long as my words were clogged... so long as they refused to come out.

How I longed to finish it and yet, couldn't.

But now, my words have never been more concise,

my thoughts have never been clearer.

It's struck... like lightning!

shooting a wondrous pulse of creativity throughout me.

I can feel my fingers itching, just waiting to put these thoughts to paper, just dying to finish that unfinished thought.

Finally!

Inspiration has struck.

Writers block - such a tough issue to deal with, when it hits. Just staring at that blinking cursor at the corner of screens. You have captured a writers thoughts perfectly with this piece. In particular the 3rd verse - the moment of eureka when it finally hits us all - struck like lighting indeed.

Very well versed - great wording ong such a hard issue.
