Punishment

Punishment

A Poem by Tasha

Darkness

Everywhere I looked

Nothingness

Just a blank space of nothing

Emptiness

Couldn't even feel a wall

Trapped

But I knew I was in a room

No way out

With no way out

Despair

I was left in my gloom

Forgotten

In the basement

Locked

Nobody remembered

Knock

I heard a sound

My mom

“Your punishment is over.”

Glee

My face lit up with joy
