Imagining DarknessA Poem by TashaThings of what I sometimes think of while laying in my bed at night.
The darkness swept over me like a hawk does a mouse
The quiet mystified me The unknowing darkness My imagination as wild as could be Lurking shadows turned into ghosts Cars going down the street below Transferred into monster roars Dark corners where anything could hide Tiny spiders that could crawl into my mouth Everything reminded me of 'The BFG' A book that wasn't scary at that time Now scared me Thoughts of the witch's hour at 12 a.m. Thoughts of giants sticking their over sized fingers Through my small glass window Grabbing me Pulling me Eating me But soon, I was asleep Unaware of the imagination of my brain Until the next night © 2012 TashaAuthor's Note
