Same old child...

How do I make u believe?

I'm your same old child who used to cry for a small chocolate
Who used take your name at every silly matters,
Who used to take your hand close to the heart every night before sleep...

I'm that same naughty kid, who used to mess the whole house with lego blocks,
Who used to jump on the pillows continuously in the living room
And the one who drew a big fat elephant in your office files....

I'm that same caring daughter who used to wait till 11 pm when u return home,
Who used to dedicate the respect of annual awards to her dearest mom, you....
Who used to share every little incidents at school with you...

And now, years passed by....
I grew up...
An infant
to a toddler
to a kid
and now, a teen....

Its strange how time passes so fast...

Today, although I became a grown up girl
Although I started passing more times with friends rather than u
Although I sometimes back-answer you which I know it hurts....

But trust me mommy, I'm still your same old child who loved you so much
And I still do.....

And i believe,
You are the same old mom, who instead of giving whatever i wanted, showed me that hungry child sitting on the footpath who has nothing to eat,....... cuz u wanted to teach me the lesson of life....

You are the same old mom who used to hide behind the curtains and looked when I'm in trouble.....cuz u wanted to make me self dependent......

You are the same old mom, who taught me to clean up the mess i made with the lego blocks instead of cleaning it urself.....cuz u wanted me to face the mistakes i'll make in life....

You gave me everything I needed instead of giving everything I wanted....

Today, I'm really proud to address myself as your daughter...
And the only question that keeps pending in my mind is that, about me, do u feel the same?
Or did I even make it worth ??
