this is a very thought-provoking poem -- what causes death, whether it is the loneliness caused by the society that is the murderer rather than the victim itself.. beautifully penned poem, and i do agree, it seems like suicide is not just suicide. after all, there is a silent killer behind the victim's own hands.
again, brilliant read c:

you're very welcome :) i look forward to reading more of your work.
It is very true Annabelle. Not many people realize that it is the society is the main culprit. When a person is left aside even if he or she need the attention the most, he or she is left with no choice but to walk a path of loneliness. This leads to chronic depression and ultimately suicide. If that not murder then what is?
Well written Anna like some more of this kind of poems.

Loneliness is a potent and silent killer...yes...courageous poem. Not many people listen to truly listen to someone, they ask and walk away...sadly...a powerful reminder of that here...what are we if we cannot pause and ask someone if they are ok and truly mean it...I do hope you are ok...thank you for a poignant piece of writing xo
This is such an emotional poem. It really pulls at the heart strings. My only question is, is this her point of view or the view from an omniscient narrator? If it is from her point of view, this poem is amazing, but if it is from a narrator, there is the question of how biased the view is. Every person has at least someone who care about them, so the line that "no one really cares" is a bit untrue. But this poem is amazing and I love it :)

Thank you... :) And, its from her point of view but narrated by someone else, that's me....
this is sad.........but quite contrary to my belief.
the only one that should care about me is i, no one else.
and here even she doesn't care about herself and gets addicted to drugs, only to meet the inevitable end.

That's the thing. The reason that didn't cared of herself is the main fact of the poem....
Although i disagree on the impact of loneliness and i have not yet attempted a poem without rhyme...This poem was that good, i'm tempted to try this form myself...Good writ....
it is really hard to live alone with grief and guilt. you penned it well.. i cant imagne what her life would be..it is mentally paralysing condition.
thanks for sharing..
