For a friendA Poem by TarynNiquoleThough you may be the prettiest, The skinniest of them all, Your voice might be beautiful and you are made of pure gold, Though you can easily fit, Into the tightest of things, and everyone around you seems to be by you You can easily be the one to hurt those around you and let the others, turn their blind ears and deaf eyes. But I am here to tell you, that you - my enemy in so little ways- that you know the price of being the way you are. You don't know you will forever be alone, people will constantly use you, and never truly care, You don't know you can never truly love, for they will leave you, to find their eternal bliss You don't know you can never see the world, Only be trapped by the pettiness and lies, That you will forever live, and never see what I will, when the light shines through Oh Mermaid, Oh Mermaid, Tell me now, Is it really worth it, To play tall tales on those you know will find their light. I might be the largest, not the slightest of being thin, I may not have that outside beauty Unlike you and so many others But I know I won't be lonely do you see the friends with me? We travel together, and are one family, I will find that love, And never be alone, I know I won't be used and played and I know that someday someday, out there that the light will come through and unlike you, beautiful mermaid © 2015 TarynNiquoleAuthor's Note
