Placid death

Placid death

A Poem by Tariq
"

A poem about the freedom of death.

"

Furtive in the gloom, death assails the suave maiden

The soul yields inside the sinister clutch

The body resists in an eternal convulsion

The skull wrecks and mind burst in the head.

Blood, blood, blood dribble down the sky

as the cataleptic body goes heavenwards.

Lord, will heaven hail me?

Lord, Belief shall plunge down my soul

As I perceive your unfathomable subsistence.

Send placid death.

Its wings caress my cheeks

My eyes sealed forever

And I decline into veils of light.

I truly enjoyed this poem! Great imagery created here!
Death I shall embrace as I pass through the door of new beginning.

Hi: I'm about to answer your friend request, but thought I'd check out your writing first. Much better than a lot of young writers on this site (and on others). Keep up the good work.
