Placid deathA Poem by TariqA poem about the freedom of death.Furtive in the gloom, death
assails the suave maiden The soul yields inside the
sinister clutch The body resists in an
eternal convulsion The skull wrecks and mind
burst in the head. Blood, blood, blood dribble
down the sky as the cataleptic body goes
heavenwards. Lord, will heaven hail me? Lord, Belief shall plunge
down my soul As I perceive your
unfathomable subsistence. Send placid death. Its wings caress my cheeks My eyes sealed forever And I decline into veils of
light. © 2010 TariqReviews
