SOUL ALONE

SOUL ALONE

A Poem by Tanya7

I meet your gaze
Across the platform,
I can tell your assessment
Is filled with
Disgust.
I'm inferior to you
You see me as nothing,
I float through the air
Like some piece of
Dust.

My clothing , my baggage
Defines me as me,
You cant see through it
To whats really
There.
You strip me naked
Of all my emotions,
The only remains
Are the cloths that I
Wear.

Put me underneath G-d's ray,
Uncover the blockage
That's build in your eyes.
Take away
This mask of flesh and bone
See me for my
Soul,
Alone.

Your words was a tight slap on the face for the way society judges and condemns and packages each being in pre defined boxes. The Soul is hidden not only by the quality of clothes and other accessories, but physical disadvantaged or imperfections as ruled by society and a cruel judge demanding perfection of body but not perfection of Soul. Loved your poem!
