That GuyA Poem by TannyaI wrote this poem when I was really in a very difficult stage of my life facing a really terrible heartbreak. As my friend once said, as a writer, i cry and bleed on paper. Hope you like it.There was a girl. She was a girl. A girl with a hole in her heart. She lived her life with a smile on her face, But she would go home staring at her reflection from her bedroom mirror. She would smile all the loneliness away. She'd wake up at 6 the next morning and get ready for school with that same smile. She'd wore that smile like a bride's marriage ring, But that smile didn't fill up the hole in her heart. So one day she met a guy, Slowly, that guy made his way to her smile That guy took away her old smile and replaced it with a new smile. And he took her new smile and turned it into a laugh. The girl started to feel something filling up in her heart for the first time in a very long time. That guy didn't just made his way to her smile, he also made his way to her heart. But as quick as a glass mirror that falls right on a concrete floor breaks, Her heart broke, And along with her heart, Her laugh was gone. Her new smile vanished and her old smile was back. But as she stood by to see herself in her bedroom mirror , Her old smile couldn't get rid of her loneliness, So she held on to whatever was left of her heart. She held on to memories of the smell of cigarettes, fresh scented shampoo, and the feeling of warmth during a very chilly night. She kept holding on to her heart Until she realized, She was holding nothing. Her heart vanished along with that guy.
