New year eve

This year is about to end,
New year is about to begin.
Which will bring new surprises,
New fun and new enjoyment.

It's the time to bid,
farewell to this year,
Cause new year is arriving,
To slay our pain and fear.

Let's forget the mistakes,
We have done in the past.
Give me a hug,
And let's welcome new year by  heart.

New year is nothing ,
But its an other step ,
That take us closer,
To our goal, our target.

Let's give a farewell to this year,
With smiles and cheers.
Let's enjoy new year ,
With sweets and pears.

So let's celebrate
This new year eve
By leaving the past behind
And start a new year
Keeping no worries in our mind.

To me, your poem expresses self-acceptance & acceptance of others. Too many people dive into a new year with unrealistic expectations & then they feel like failures becuz they can't stick to everything. Your poem shows a more realistic approach . . . when we love & accept ourselves, it opens the door to loving & accepting others.
