Many times a writer will make suggestions & I don't like being told how to live my life. It can feel preachy. But in this case, your advice is given so cheerfully & your suggestions are made in a way that's encouraging, rather than corrective/judgmental. Your personality makes this an easy bit of advice to take. I agree with all your suggestions, especially for helping out . . . I volunteered at animal shelters for years & it helped me get thru some bad times in my life, becuz it took my mind off the bad stuff, loving those homeless animals.
