The Girl Who WroteA Poem by TanishaA rather medium length poem about a girl who wrote poems. There once was girl who like poetry She liked to read al kinds From Edgar Allan Poe to Robert Frost She wished she could write to She heard the poetry came from your heart From what you feel inside And who you are thinking of When she was five she took some colored paper And wrote about her mother How her hair was curly And how her eyes were green She wrote about he dad And how we was her Superman She showed to her parents And they shared it with their friends When she was ten she took notebook paper And wrote about her friends How they took her toys at recess And never gave them back How they invited her to sleepovers She showed her parents And they said whatever When she was fifth-teen took ripped paper And wrote about a boy She wrote about how he left one day She tucked it away in her dresser And her parents never saw it When she was eight-teen she took an envelope And wrote on the back of it About how she was sad Because mom and dad fought a lot And the boy still never came back And the whole town got to read it In her obituary. © 2015 TanishaAuthor's Note
