Doubt

Doubt

A Poem by Tania Leigh

My thoughts are like rolling thunder

that carelessly torments once silent skies.

My fear is like lightning that I feel paralyzed under

and my tears fall as the rain does when Mother Nature cries.

My feelings seek shelter from the storm and I begin to wonder

if my umbrella of courage will ever open after so many tries.

Those doubts that fester in our minds thought sometimes not always detected are our worst enemy as they hold us back from reaching for our dreams but we can turn it into our greatest strength as if we use it as a motivational tool to strive for the impossible... I love the vulnerability of the human side that you so powerfully display in such few words... A fav of mine.

Don't you love those doubts! *roll eyes* it's a love hate relationship with me and doubt... I love it because then i get one of my favorite muse's back but then I hate doubting things... If only it were a love love relationship... I like this and you paint a vivid image in the readers mind... Great job!

The storm of heartache. That's what I read here. And it is so hard to find shelter from it ... its thunder, its lightening, its pain. But we do. That umbrella will open, once the storm has had its say and moves on to the next town....

I absolutely love the way you've expressed this emotion Tania. Very well done. :)

I find courage is like Nitro. it seems like it's never there until you need it, then with a push of a button...
Wham! Your full of it coursing through your veins.

I liked your analogy to the umbrella. It works very well. Like shield when open, it can be moved to block and parry fears and attacks.
Yet, do not forget, the pointy end when closed. It is your sword as well.

Great Write Tania!

Very well written. You have done a wonderful job writing about being vulnerable, which sometimes is hard for all of us. Excellent job.

Emotions such as these tumble around like rocks and time polishes them into character, patience and understanding. What a pensive poem filled with extensive emotions! You outline the difficulties and the shelter sought so well. Your poem says so much and it's emotional value is hard to describe--your words do the job so skilfully!

Hi there Tania leigh,

Thanks once again for your comments. Is there a connection between this poem and Kaleidescope ? Colours and the mind's eye is a pretty awesome concept I think. Not many people can attain synathaesia. Enjoyed the intensity of both of poems.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards
