Doubt

Doubt

A Poem by Tania Leigh

My thoughts are like rolling thunder

that carelessly torments once silent skies.

My fear is like lightning that I feel paralyzed under

and my tears fall as the rain does when Mother Nature cries.

My feelings seek shelter from the storm and I begin to wonder

if my umbrella of courage will ever open after so many tries.

Those doubts that fester in our minds thought sometimes not always detected are our worst enemy as they hold us back from reaching for our dreams but we can turn it into our greatest strength as if we use it as a motivational tool to strive for the impossible... I love the vulnerability of the human side that you so powerfully display in such few words... A fav of mine.

Very true. We often find that as the storm approaches, we start to fall apart under all the pressure around us. But if you believe that you are perhaps in the midst of a storm that won't go away, believe me, it will. Remember, through every storm, there's a rainbow. Whether we like to think that things remain bad or not, we must always find that way to muster up the courage and take control. Don't let it weaken you. Life is too short to let it take control of you. It's your life. You are the only one who can pave in the direction that you want to go. Life gives us obstacles and it's our job to overcome them.

Keep strong.

How completely poetic! You have brought a thunder storm alive in a new way. Indeed one has a life of it's own but you have given this a human essence. I felt the fierceness of a storm of doubt. I saw internal doubt find an external expression. I saw doubt effect the enviroment on an external plane yet I saw the power of the storm be contained within a human container. I saw mother nature cry your tears and I saw your tears water the Earth.

This one goes into my favorites for sure.

Wonderful. I love this one. Ilike the font too, how did you do that? Comparing our feelings to nature shows we are one with nature. It's all around us. God's creations, such as we are. Nice poem.

There isn't a single soul that this one doesn't touch. Well written, Tania. You have nailed doubt on the head perfectly! The torment, the fear, the paralyzation, the tears and the lack of courage! Bravo, my friend!

I have been here many times. I love the flow of this poem. I read it to myself in a very soft voice. almost as if i felt the doubt. Nice one!
