You are able to hide everything so well inside with the storm taking place outside. When the birds are singing and the sky is blue--what is to happen of you? Misery loves company and the storm is a great companion to comfort and hide inside.
I love the title and how you link it with your last line. Every line is poignant, I especially like this one: "Darkness cloaks my worries and banishes them to the night,"
I guess there lies the answer as to why you love the storms.
Excellent mystery here within your precious poem.
yes you talk well how a tormented soul sways with the storm ,i liked the beginning a lot, although ,i was puzzled at the end, words written in nice rythm
I am no literary expert, really have no background in it; however, I know that any poem that compels me to read it half a dozen times, each time discovering subtleties and nuance that previously escaped me, is a worthy work of literary artlike a painting in a museum that catches your eye from across a gallery, that beckons you to stand studying it for quite some time. This is one of those poems, as are pretty much all of your poems, Tania. I love your understated rhyming scheme, and your command of language and vocabulary render you so formidable. Your note under your poem title is an integral part of your work, setting the theme. You established a strong theme and kept to it throughout your piece, using wonderful metaphor and figurative imagery. If I had to choose (and I hope no one forces me to), I'd have to say your phrase, "lightning lifts away my pain then tears through troubled skies," is my favorite. You have a tremendous flare for ending with a punchyour works never end in a whimper. Lastly, to the extent you deal with these feelings and emotions in your real life, my heart goes out to you. I truly hope, my friend, that your writing serves well to offset, or channel, your depression. Wonderful poem, Tania.
