Mask

Mask

A Poem by Tania Leigh
"

We all have one...

"

Should the mask I wear ever
fall to the ground, revealing
 the secrets behind it; please
 leave it be and pretend
you didn’t see, for I’ll
be coming ‘round
to find it.

I wish everyone would lose their masks. Maybe if that happened life would be less painful, no?
You touched on a powerful topic with masks and bring to light a great point. Despite the fact your character lost their mask they make a point that they havn't completely lost an attachment to it be mentioning that they'll be back. I wonder if our masks in somecase don't become a part of us? I wouldn't be surprised. Great write.

Tania, you say so much with so very little. A quick, excellent read that leaves us all with something to ponder. I love this.

Love the picture you added to your poem. It helps create a mental picture to the poem.
The poem is simple but tells the story very well. Well written.

nicely done!! the format worked great. and it's casual, and professional at the same time.

you address the issue of masks, a common one, but you keep it simple and straight-forward, and witty, as well . :)

nicely done

oh the concepts of masks.

One so deep, and altogether fathomless. This poem is splended in it's acute simplicity. No one could miss the point being directed here.

But what happenes when the mask becomes one with the wearer's face!

great write

I know this song and dance, and it never works, fate will blind you on your return to find the mask and you will inverable step on it and break it into pieces.
I see fear behind those who hide behind such masks.
I believe that they need not fear. Life may be hard, but friends hold their hands in tough times, Let them shake, and cry. But friends will stand by. Thats just my opinion. :)
Great work!. It's a piece that stirs many emotions!

Whoa, I seriously loved this one! It may be so small and short, yet it got so many meanings as in true meanings behind one word, you know? Also, it reminded me so much of blended between the life and the death, the love and the hate, the happiness and the sadness, and so on

BUT, I really love this one and I'm taking that one to my list...
