Pain

Pain

A Poem by Pandora
"

How pain is comforting than not being in pain

"

Pain is inexplicable
Feeling numb is a part of it
The dynamics of how much pain one could go through is beyond control
Attempt to cry and let it all out but tears don’t roll down and touch the ground easily
A tranquilizer might help in getting back to normal
Normalcy is hideous,
No pain, but a sort of escape to the real world
That is the “ugliness” of it
The heart desires to fill this void
The void which eats the flesh alive
In comparison pain is comforting
The reality does come out yet acceptance of life is...
Just there.

Normalcy is hideous. Interesting statement, that. It appears the speaker doesn't want normalcy, but is desperate to escape the pain. Perhaps there is a need to define normalcy and to investigate the source of the pain instead of trying to escape or dull it.

pain can be transformational in the synaptic sparks rolling over the skin penetrating the heart...the center of being alive on this stage of fools...keep the heart comforted and strong to live the one and only precious life one has as a momentary drop over a single falls... in this river of life....
