Something Average

Something Average

A Poem by Tango Barraza

Christ dying on
the cross,
suffering for
my sins,

that was
Average.

Her naked
body, laying
gently on the floor,
waiting for me,

that was
something.

that was really something.

Oh man, when I first started to read this, I almost didn't go all the way through. But then I kept reading it and smiled. So awesome. Anything that can illicit a strong emotion is worthwhile. And I think if an overly religious person would read this and get pissed off, then you did a good job.

That's pretty profound. My own thoughts toward this is that I had to smile when I read it. I really quite like it!
