Bon Iver My Love

Bon Iver My Love

A Poem by Anna

My love, your glittering caress lingers

Still. Twas so long ago yet crystal clear.

White and pure is the beauty of winter.

In the stillness of dawn, your song I hear.

Yet softly you fall, silent your descent.

Under the luminous moon " she looks on

With her bright eye. Colour becomes absent,

Washed clean of sin. My soul, like a great swan

Takes flight - and I rejoice in your return.

Icy air is fresh and sweet on my tongue.

Snowflakes land on my nose, so cold it burns -

And for every gift my thanks goes unsung.

As you melt from my grasp, we once more part

‘Til the day when your chill warms my stone heart.
