TravelerA Poem by Areya ValenaI miss you more than anything.Oh, my traveler, I hand you my heart to keep you company, on your vast journey, no need to be gentle for it's yours to hold, just keep it close, Its home is next to yours. Oh, my traveler, Nothing could have braced us for the day you left, For the emptiness we felt, For the bareness in our beds. Oh traveler, I sent you away, and nothing could surpass the regret I face, Give me time dear traveler, Time to learn, time to grow, Maybe then I'll be a perfect fit, A slight inch off in your arms. So that I can once again find my home next to your heart. Dear traveler, If I could turn the miles into smiles, and let you catch them on your way, I'd lay them out on the pavement, And keep them strengthened for the rest of your days. If I could slow and speed time, so it's will is mine, You would still be packing to leave, We would still be in our dreams. There wouldn't be a traveler and a stranded girl, There would still be, You and me. © 2012 Areya Valena |
