Feed Me Poison

Feed Me Poison

A Poem by Areya Valena
"

Loving Him, Is Such Ecstasy, Such Poison

"
You hold out your hands,
liquid filled,
and cupped near my face.
Your eyes gesture me forward,
shining with such sincerity,
luring me near to take a drink.
I suddenly realize how thirsty I am,
how each swallow is dry,
my lips crack with each breath.
And you smile,
your lips so perfectly pink,
curled in a grin,
so alluring and sweet.
So I crawl on rough hands,
bleeding knees,
abandoned for so long,
moving closer to your gift.
I stretch my neck,
lift my chin,
purse my lips,
for a beautiful drink.
And poison could only taste so sweet,
When fed from your hands.
In gulps I swallow,
in seconds I'm done,
in minutes I'm dizzy,
you watch me die.

It is not an easy thing to think of with much aluring thought. I read an article in a magazine about how the children of a gold cost africa country used a simular devise to stop the suffering of children dying of food deperation. Somehow it never seems right or just. Any way I like the flow of your work but the subject leaves a lot to be desired.
