Nightmare Ball

Nightmare Ball

A Poem by Areya Valena
"

I've been having recurring nightmares, this is a poem expressing where i go everynight

"

Come one,

Come all!

You can't be late for the Nightmare Ball!
Look left,

look right,

Join me here in beauty for a sleepless night!

Candles light the darkness.

Shining on the dark decor.

Ladies in Victorian Ballgowns,

Men in tuxedo's for sure.

Grab a hand,

and float around the room.

Don't close your eyes!

It's far too soon.

We shall not sleep,

nor give in to the SandMaster's Sand,

We shall stay awake and dance the night away!

Take my hand!

Smile with me,

Don't shed a tear!
Your eyelids will flutter later,

right now you're here!
Come one!
Come All!
The Nightmare Ball is almost gone!
Everyone is growing sleepy,

And soon they will be out cold!
Come again another night,

I'll be sure to set you free.

We'll turn your nightmare's

Into your dreams.

Garunteed.

I thought I was the one experiencing the nightmare. You really painted the picture well and created a dream for the reader to disperse into. It was lovely reading it as it took my mind away for a while and put me through the experience of the nightmare. Excellent job!
