Illusion of Happiness

Illusion of Happiness

A Poem by Areya Valena

Smiles mark the shattered time.

Once occupied by a girl so blind.

Silloutte of dreams pass through the night.

She clutches her heart and prays for daylight.

Unforgotten Kisses,

and unforgettable days.

She doesn't know what this is...

This feeling of pain.

Dark clouds cover the sky.

She smiles as a tear drops from her eye.

Shedding the mask that covers her face.

Tears fall so fast she can't wipe them away!

Her heart pours out on the ground,

She can't control her screams!

She looks around...

A dreamer without a dream.

She snaps back to reality.

And is so sad to see.

Even with her mask safetly on,

She notices she's still alone.
