Please daddy, Don't go

Please daddy, Don't go

A Poem by tanaya

Centre of my world

Stronghold for me

My dad

You have been there for most of my life

Through the good

And the bad

You have been there

We all make mistakes

We all do stupid things

But I don’t care

I love you

I need you

In my life

And in my heart

Daddy don’t leave

Daddy stay here

Daddy I miss you

Mummy forgive him

He has done some stupid things

But mummy please forgive him

Daddy I love you

Daddy I need you

Daddy don’t go

Forgive and forget

Its in the past

I love you no mater what

So daddy I need you

Daddy I love you

Please daddy, don’t go

This touches my heart because my mom and dad split up too. I the whole forgive and forget thing but I'm not sure if that ever works. With me I forgive but I never forget. This is a heartfelt poem.

An honest and very moving write - venting and processing sadder times. Thankyou. Forgiveness is so important, I only wonder why it isn't highlighted more.

Sometimes divorce is the best thing for two people when they can't get along with each other. It has nothing to do with the children, but the children are to young to understand that. Lucie

Aww, this is heartbreaking. I can relate, my parents divorced when I was 4, but it was my mother who made the mistakes. This is a very emotional and well written piece.

Hard for kids in a separation. A poem with painful emotion and sadness in the words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
