![]() The Lost DoveA Poem by SerenityAs I sit here in this garden I sit here all alone Wallowing is silence In this garden of stone There isnt much left of you Just pictures and memories and letters from you too Promising to come back soon before the strike of noon Well now the clock strikes noon and here you are but not in the way you hoped youd be The ground begins to open up beneath my feet and a casam sinks within in my chest so very very deep Memories begin to float back to me As I remember those years ago When you said you would come back to me even if it meant walking through snow Well here you are but not as you thought youd be You gave up your life for the land that you love And on your bloody battlefield will forever fly a lost dove Symbolizing that Death has not yet won.
