Rain in Her EyesA Poem by SerenityTears will not make the pain go away Music in, up high and loud Sunshine comes through as you hide from the day Sitting alone making not a single sound Is it better to try to forget the pain Or remember all the good times we had Memories of spinning and laughing in the rain Come now and again making me sad The pain and the hurt filling my heart Now I stand here alone Drenched and Cold Waiting for Cupids little Love Dart I just want you to hug me and hold Arms wrapped around my waist Just like we used to do But you were in such a Haist And you let me fall through Why did you let me go Why didnt you hold on Now im falling so very low To the point where im almost gone And no one will notice or even care About the little girl, so unaware Sitting in the rain in the town square Rain in her Eyes, Although they're really Tears and Even after all these Years All she can do is Smile and Ask him if he wants to stay awhile Trying to bring back the memories Brushing back some clarities Trying to recreate the Past Bring back what was never meant to Last Slowly but surely he walks away Leaving the girl alone and gray Theres a little girl, so unaware Sitting in the rain in the town square Sad and tired of hearing so many lies She Sits There, Rain in Her Eyes
