Road to Insanity

Road to Insanity

A Poem by Serenity

Standing there side by side

your hand in mine

That's when i cried

It was like a big old warning sign

So now i stand here all alone

Standing there in the snow

Wishing you wernt gone

Wishing i wasnt so low

I wish i had you back

Wishing i had you all to myself

Now im living in an empty shack

left with nothing but an empty shelf

Picture books filled with pictures

Pictures of the past

Walls covered in many fixtures

fixtures that aren't meant to last

where are you now?

and why did you leave

All i want to know is how

and in my sunken chest i give one last

Heave!

This may sound weird, but when I read this, my mind put it into a song. I don't know if you've ever heard of Hollywood Undead, or if you even like them, but this piece reminds me of the songs they write.

I absolutely love poems that rhyme very well, and this suits my likings very, very well. The first three lines were the best of the whole poem. Well done!
