Garden of Stone

Garden of Stone

A Poem by Serenity

She’s visiting her father
in a garden of stone
crying in the silence
as she sits there alone

tears fall over the rim

remembering the stories
cherishing his name
and though she never met him
she loves him just the same
knowing that he loved her
from all the letters that he wrote
and every time she reads them
her hearts caught in her throat
everything hed ever felt was there
that his words could send
sorrowed by the knowledge
that his story had to end
dying for his country
in a land so far away
wishing he could be there
with her every single day

Choppy my a*s. The Flow of this piece is excellent

everything hed ever felt was there
that his words could send
sorrowed by the knowledge
that his story had to end

Truly a wonderful Memorial Piece. Excellent Job!
