Baby World Adventure: Baby Class

A Story by Tanya

It was a raining day in Baby World. Baby where sad about not being able to go outside and play. At Darius's house it was the same. He little face sad as he looked out the window. He had a play date that day with Meme and Austin, and now they couldn't play outside and explore the backyard and play with his swing and slide. His sister Vannah was watching him and felt bad. She was suppose to watch the babies while their mom hung out with the other parents.
" I have to find a way for him to be happy today," she thought.
At noon the babies and their parents came over. The parents went into the living room while the babies were lead into the playroom by Vannah. Vannah had a little surprise for the babies.
The babies entered the room, but it didn't look like the play room, it looked like a classroom. Number and alphabet blocks lined the room. Stuffed animals and other objects were next to the block that started it's name. Cars and marbles were next to the correct number of the number blocks for counting. The babies were going to play school.
" All right class time to sit down," Vannah smiled at the babies. The babies squealed with excitement and quickly sat down on the round rug.
" Okay the first thing we are going to do is say the a b c's."
" A B C D E F G H I J K L  M N O P 2 R S E OO BE DOUBLE U S I AND ZZZ. Now I knows my a b c's next time won't you sing with me." The babies singed. Vannah smiled  and tried not to laugh.
" Okay that was really good. Now we are going to learn what sound the letters make."
" Huh?" Darius said, the babies looked confused.
" Well like the word be. B E. The B makes the buh sound and the E makes the eee sound."
" Oh, Otay shisshy." Darius smiled.
Vannah worked with the babies for awhile with sounds and the babies loved it.
" Now R makes the rrrrrrr sound like when you growl."
" Grrrrrrrrrr," the babies growled then giggled. " Grrrrr, grrrrrr, grrrrrrr." the babies growled at each other than giggled again.
" Okay Okay, let's stop with sounds and work on counting." Vannah picked up the number 1 block and a bear. " 1 bear," she told the babies.
" I want beaw," Meme said.
" Meme how many bears are there then you can have it."
" I want beaw," Meme repeated.
" You have to tell me how many there are first."
" I want beaw," Meme cried.
" Okay here." Vannah gave the bear to Meme. Meme stopped crying.
" Tanks," she said with her big watery eyes.
The babies didn't want to learn anymore they wanted to play, and soon Vannah was losing control of the babies.
While Meme played with the bear and a few dolls, Austin and Darius was running wild in the room. Austin was jumping on the bed in the room. He jumped close to the edge, but luckily Vannah caught him before he fell.
" Shisshy luky me," Darius said. Vannah looked to where his voice came from and froze. Her beloved little brother was climbing on the shelves and was nearly at the top.
" Darius get down now!" Vannah demanded as she ran over to him.
" No!"
" Get down now Darius!"
" No! No! No!" Darius sung and kept climbing. To Vannah's horror Darius slipped and started falling, but she was right under him.
" UMP." Darius landed right on top of her.
" Are you okay Darius?" Vannah asked. Darius looked at her and started to cry.
" I's is sowwy shisshyyyyy."
" It's okay."
"I's was scaweded."
" I kow, I was too but your safe now. No more climbing okay?
" Otay shisshy." Darius sniffled. " I's lub ooo shisshy."
" I love you too little brother." Vannah hugged him.
Meme and Austin went and sat next to Vannah and Darius and cuddled next to them. Vannah smiled at the babies, as they started to fall asleep.
Neither Vannah or the babies noticed that they were being watch. The parents heard the all the noise and came to investigate. Standing at the door way they watched the scene in front of them. They panicked when they saw how close two of the babies almost got hurt and smiled as they watched Vannah saved them. Sighing with relief as they watched all four children slowly fall into a nap.
Turning to go back downstairs, Vannah and Darius's mommy heard Vannah softly say, " I love all the little babies."
" So do I," she whispered, "especially my little teacher."
The end ( til next time)
