IsolatedA Poem by TammyI yearn to meet the joy,
but fantasies remain unfulfilled
to the point of frustration
keeping
just out of my grasp
a powerful feeling of isolation;
an unsatisfied state
between and betwixt
happiness muted,
halted
by a wall of uncertainty
alienated from the desire
to balance an intimate caress
or the need for aloneness
for to continue such efforts
knowing victory is unattainable
would be a fruitless waste
of a crusade
but
one that I've settled upon
loneliness, I don’t mind
when my heart tells me
you are lonely too
