Isolated

Isolated

A Poem by Tammy

I yearn to meet the joy,
but fantasies remain unfulfilled
to the point of frustration
keeping
just out of my grasp

a powerful feeling of isolation;
 an unsatisfied state
between and betwixt

happiness muted,
halted
by a wall of uncertainty

alienated from the desire
to balance an intimate caress
or the need for aloneness

for to continue such efforts
knowing victory is unattainable
would be a fruitless waste
of a crusade
 but
one that I've settled upon

loneliness, I don’t mind
when my heart tells me
you are lonely too

A beautiful poem of a lonely soul

Posted 16 Years Ago

You had some wonderful stanzas in this beautiful poem. I especially liked:

"a powerful feeling of isolation; an unsatisfied state between and betwixt"

Well done Tammy, a very worthy submission to my "Loneliness" contest.

Thanks for sharing.
