AfraidA Poem by Tammy
A sun is a hot star that might die, or begin to lose height; not unlike life.
I’m afraid!
Afraid to go to sleep. Afraid of what I might see. What my night time terrors may reveal.
haunted by my failures. I don’t want to see smoky ghosts of the unsaved swirling around me begging, knowing there is no hope; that their tomorrows have ceased. tainted by flash backs of burnt flesh mingling with the sweet sweat of life. Hearing screams fade and the breath seep from those lost to the flaming beast. will blind me. Blind me of my purpose, life. © 2008 TammyReviews
