Silver Dragon

Silver Dragon

A Poem by Tammy
"

A thunderstorm poem

"

Distress filled roars

bellow;

warning of the

silver dragon

breathing flames

of electrical current

echoing through

misty hollows

stark in night, scars of battle

normally shadowed by the

glint of non-existence

as

tentacle arms reach;

searching,

a crackling living entity;

dangerous inarticulate cries

follow the pathway

of a teardrop

to peace

Beautiful. It was sharp and clean, like the fresh tang in the air after a thunderstorm. You captured the mood wonderfully.

I like this very much. Strong imagery. Comparing the components of a thunderstorm to a silver dragon is excellent. I'm putting this in my favorites.

Of course I love your poem, especially the last stanza:
dangerous inarticulate cries

follow the pathway

of a teardrop

to peace
