To Hell and back

To Hell and back

A Poem by TamerQtaish

To Hell and back

You know its coming
Standing counting days
Numbered, a pack of cigarettes
For the devils are hunting
Lost like a rat in a maze
Asking, did you pay your debts?

You know its coming
To Hell and back
You know its coming
To Hell and back
Running between white and black

Standing your ground
You might win this round
I know your spirit wild and proud
But you think secrets can't be found?

You know its coming
To Hell and back
You know its coming
To Hell and back
Running between white and black
Oh...
To Hell and back

... uh-oh ... you stumbled upon the truth ... unmasked the shards of a mask ... very edgy ... very trippy ... like peering from a cliff ... being breathless and yet still alive ...

You know its coming
Standing counting days
Numbered, a pack of cigarettes
For the devils are hunting
Lost like a rat in a maze
Asking, did you pay your debts?

... what a scintillating first stanza ... envelops existential truths in a porcelain vase ... fragile but resilient ... the hunt and the debt hit like a bazooka ... outstanding artistry ...

Running between white and black

... you storm ... making the shades of gray poetically redundant ... makes me smile ... you're in the zone ... precision's your weapon ... (i read one of mark's yesterday and i shall send you a read request as it was pretty enriching) ...

Standing your ground
You might win this round
I know your spirit wild and proud
But you think secrets can't be found?

... unearth with wise eyes ... unearth the white lies ... you do ... and sharply ... you slice with verse ... super neat ...

Oh...
To Hell and back

... a trippy end to a trippy trip ... nice ... (highest rating) ...
