Wings of Fire

Wings of Fire

A Poem by TamerQtaish
"

A bit of anger twisted with vengeance!

"

Wings of Fire

The world is turning

Everything is ending

Still I am pretending

"If the light is too strong"

"Then darkness is where you belong"

Flicking eyes shaking feet

Reached weak stronger need

Now I call upon their presence

As I embrace the higher existence

Wings of fire on my back

Accelerating higher into the dark

Until I reach the point of attack

Thunder drooping there is no turning back

Father of the Holy Ghost

Help me fight this evil host

Breathing the fire of vengeance

Aiming high to regain my sentence

Wings of fire on my back

Accelerating higher into the dark

Until I reach the point of attack

Thunder drooping there is no turning back

… There is no turning back

As the fire burns my spine

At least there is no more pain

As my body turns into ashes

At least I know your twisted intentions

"Lived my life like a broken arrow"

"Aiming high reaching zero"

"So I aimed higher to break my sorrow"

Wings of fire on my back

Accelerating higher into the dark

Until I reach the point of attack

Thunder drooping there is no turning back

In the absence of light

Don’t you embrace the night

The flames of hope burn at last

Still there is fire in a forgotten past

…Still there is fire

Wings of fire

Wings of fire

"shadowdance" is right..ur images r extraordinarily represented in this poem and Tamer, :"As my body turns into ashes..."! dont think of death, ur still so young, and u have ur whole life to live before u should think of such a thing. but i love the way u wrote out everything, its "perfectly said" and i can get a feeling of what ur enduring.

I know you better than this! your not talking just about anger or rage!
and hey I still have those wings you want as a tatoo, but you never told me what that one thing you have to do first before you can carry them on your back, man I tell you... Everything will be ok, so stop assuming the worst and yes its good to prepare for war, but you have your best friend watching your back, your not alone, dont forget that, and on another note, if you ever hide a problem from me again someone is going to get hurt, hopefuly not me...

Images so strong and even painful from within, wow! I said it then and I say it now!

Wow. For the most part, this is quite visual, though certain parts could be expanded a bit. 2 parts did stand out to me as not reading as well with the rest of the poem, l think because you switched styles slightly. The first was this:

"Flicking eyes shaking feet
Reached weak stronger need
Now I call upon their presence
As I embrace the higher existence"

- the reason it stands out to me is how abstract it is, even the writing itself is abstract and simplified. l really liked the first line, it's fast and powerful, but it weakens in comparison with the 2nd line, and the idea form the third - l wanted to know who you were calling on. Works out, but could be stronger to me.

the other one:

"Thunder drooping there is no turning back" - you repeatedly use "drooping", so l'm guessing it's on purpose, but l'm left in the dark as to how thunder can droop, exactly. could just use some clarification, though the line sounds interesting phonetically.

This definitely has potential, and l'm looking forward to where yout ake it - it does feel unfinished to me, but at the core it's worth the read. (and l hope this doesn't offend you, l only say this cus l enjoyed it.)
