An ugly smile, with bloody lips

Mission deception you have to fight

Pull the trigger traceless

Hope falls down in pieces

Killing for the unnamed grace

A nation built on sacrifices

Shining gold on the surface

Rusty cold within the soulless

Burn down the horizon

A monsters evil reflection

Sending respect in messages of pain

Proudly awaking a refusing nation

Spreading the sky's with acid rain

Chanting orders with no authentication

Which people will you use

Which eye should you bruise

Author's Note

Some people say the world is gray! Well I think that color came from us sometimes not knowing whats right and whats wrong, thats why I wrote this one also a old one, sorry for all the old ones people...

i agree with "blackbirdsong" when he said that theres a music feel to this poem and i like how u stressed the fact that sometimes we dont know what to believe cuz whos to say whats wrong or right?
"So how do you choose"-im sure its a question a lot of ppl face in this world ..i like this a lot tam and ya, go on that program where u record ur voice when ur reading this and the rest of ur poems. we're all dying to hear how this is spoken...?? awesome poem

I really like the drive of this piece...it feels like spoken word and if you haven't seen some of the spoken word poets on site there is actually a program - which I think is free - where they record themselves reading their works. I would love to hear you read this. Of course it also feels like a song, especially the repetitions, which work really well by the way. Good job here and also welcome the cafe :)
